Conference: Right of financial industry China - France
The Chinese Stock Exchange now occupies the first place in the emerging countries, it exceeds Hong Kong and Frankfurt and accounts for 6, 5% of world capitalization, against only 1% in June 2006.
In parallel, the financial markets were the subject of legal reform following the adoption of new legislation, which came into effect on January 1, 2006, with the aim of ensuring the confidence of the investors (improvement in the transparency and the composition of the boards of directors, protection of the minority shareholders, reinforcement of the role of the auditors and the capacities of the regulator).
In this context, and under the scientific department of Professor Jean-Jacques Daigre, Master 2 Secteur Financier of the University of Toulouse, directed by Sebastien Neuville, is organizing a conference on the right of financial industry in China.
The first roundtable will make it possible to examine the assets of the Chinese law of financial industry in light of the recent reforms, in particular with regard to the governorship of companies or shareholding.
The second roundtable will seek to show how French law of the financial industry is gravitational and can constitute a model for China.
This conference, organized in partnership with the Editions Jolly, the Embassy of China, the MFA, Nyse Euronext as well as the Shearman cabinet & Sterling, will take place on Thursday February 21, 2008 (morning) in the buildings of Nyse Euronext (39 rue Cambon, 75039 Paris cedex 01).
